Aid for Burkina Faso
"Ever since the urgent travel warning for the north of Burkina Faso, the situation for the people that live there has become considerably more desperate. Many aid organisations have already left the area, and we have also cancelled out trip for January 2011.
We have helpers in Africa who we can trust and can turn to in difficult situation to ensure that the donations arrive safely in Africa to help ease the crisis there.
IH Berlin PROLOG has supported us for many years. Mr. Uwe Stränger, Director of IH Berlin PROLOG, and his wife have made a generous donation at the end of the year. The money will go toward the school and the children in Tin-Akoff.
In January, PROLOG had its Christmas party. This year we went to Werder where we spent a lovely evening with all of our colleagues. On the way down there, we talk about our projects in Burkina Faso and ask for donations. We were able to collect a considerable sum.
THANK YOU to colleagues and IH Berlin PROLOG!
I hope that the situation in Africa will soon be better and that we will be able to see how the projects are doing on our next trip.
