Cultural activities for summer
Winter in Berlin definitely has its charm, but it’s probably fair to say that the approach of Spring and Summer has most Berliners in a state of eager anticipation. It’s high time for sitting at a table outside a café, catching some rays in a park or taking a stroll along the banks of one of Berlin’s many rivers or lakes.
This is also the time of year when our culture programme can throw off its thick winter coat and start to take to the outdoors as well as the indoors. Outdoor highlights for April include informative city walks with professional guides through the districts of Prenzlauer Berg and around the Museum Island, along with a day trip to the Botanical Gardens in the south-west of Berlin.
We will also visit some museums and exhibitions, such as the Technical Museum, the Allied Museum in Zehlendorf and a special exhibition in the German Historical Museum: Macht zeigen – Kunst als Herrschaftsstrategie.
This is just a short sample of upcoming cultural events next month. As things really hot up in Berlin our culture programme includes events such as Beach Volleyball, day trips to other cities and also to the coast, lakeside barbecues and excursions to Berlin’s Summer festivals and parades.
