Burkina Faso was hit this summer by a completely abnormal, and therefore unpredictable, bout of •torrential rains. Many villages are trying to alleviate flooding and its after-effects and desperately need our help.

As 2009 is drawing to an end, IH Berlin PROLOG would once again like to remind you of our projects in Africa in the hope that some of our readers will decide to make a donation. Should you require a donation receipt, we will be happy to issue one! 

The following projects are most in need of your donations:

1. Meals for school children and funds to pay for cooks at the primary school in Tin-Akoff – we have supported this project for a number of years and actually it was not much that we had to transfer: €750 annually would be enough to prevent starvation. Many parents not only send their children to school for education, but also because the children receive a warm meal during the school day – something many African families simply cannot provide themselves. Children who attend school regularly and receive an education will have opportunities later in life to improve their standards of living.

2. School children looking for sponsors – •see attachment

3. 30 school benches for the primary school – one bench costs only €34.00.

4. Micro-credits (between €50.00 and 60.00) for women.

5. Money for millet and sorghum, to give families the chance to survive.
