As part of our 20-year anniversary, PROLOG will be planting 20 trees in and around Berlin. In conjunction with the •B.U.N.D. (Bund für Umwelt und Naturschutz Deutschland/Alliance for the Environment and Protection of Nature, Germany), PROLOG will donate 20 trees to help the ongoing project "Trees for Berlin".
The young tree you see here is a Black Locust (Robinia pseudo acacia). Apparently, this type of tree is very resistant to pollution and therefore it is often found on city streets in Europe and the East Coast of the USA.
Although Berlin is already a very "green" city, many trees are lost every year to storms, drought, and a special kind of moth that likes to munch on our beautiful chestnut trees. Therefore, the BUND is looking for sponsors to help with the replanting of damaged trees, and PROLOG is happy to help.
