Modern Language Conference 2006
In 2006 IH Berlin PROLOG hosted the IHWO Modern Languages Conference for the second time, welcoming delegates from more than 20 IH schools and 15 countries. During this conference the new IH coordinators were inaugurated: Jody Wohmann from IH Berlin for German; Ana Barbosa from IH Lisbon for Portuguese; Luigi Micarelli from IH Rome for Italian; Andriy Ruzhynskiy from IH Kharkiv for Russian/Ukrainian; plus many more.
The aim of these coordinators is to expand the general IHWO offer and to provide IH schools with material and teachers’ support for LOTE (Languages Other Than English). To encourage personal exchange and training, the coordinators have established a forum, based on the Moodle system, which enables language teachers to access the accumulated information.
