2009 prices and TELC tests
It is clear to everyone in the field of language travel, student recruitment and language tuition that we have entered a period of some uncertainty. Nearly everyday there is a different headline on the front page of your morning newspaper, but the subject remains the same – financial crisis.
It is still fairly early days, so it’s difficult to foresee the long-term effects this crisis will have on our industry. It’s not just a North American or European problem: the effects are being seen all around the globe. How will our clients and customers react? Will we see decreases in overall enrolments? Will customers delay or curtail their travel plans? Maybe we’ll see postponements rather than outright cancellations, or possibly the effects will be limited and short-lived.
Therefore, as you can see from •PROLOG’s 2009 price list, our prices are only increasing moderately. We’ve also introduced the COMBI-5 course profile which makes the added benefits of one-to-one tuition more accessible and affordable for students with tighter budgets. NEW TELC TESTS FOR ENGLISH: B1 + B2
On Saturday, 22.11.2008, three of IH Berlin PROLOG’s teachers, Sebastian, Derek and Rik, from the English team took part in an eight-hour training programme to gain accreditation as examiners for the •TELC B1 and B2 exams.
TELC provides well-established and widely recognised exams which allow language learners to demonstrate their language abilities, as defined by the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework. The exams have five parts, dealing with listening, reading, writing, language elements and speaking ability.
