The world at PROLOG

International familyPROLOG has always been proud of the fact that its students come from so many different countries in order to learn German and experience the life and vitality of Berlin. We have developed excellent relationships with agencies in core markets all over the world and have also carried out a massive redesign and redevelopment of the school’s website, which is now available in ten different languages with more languages to come.

The fruits of this commitment are becoming more and more evident, with student numbers overall on the rise, and the diversity of countries from which our students come also rapidly increasing. Just to give you a snapshot: in the second week of July 2008, PROLOG had 270 students from 36 different countries (see below). The top five nationalities were Swiss, Spanish, Italian, British and Polish. The only continent from which PROLOG had no students was Antarctica!

This global mix guarantees that our students not only use their German to speak with Germans here in Berlin, but also with their classmates. This truly means that through a language course at PROLOG, in addition to students gaining a deeper understanding of the local German culture, they also come into meaningful contact with many different cultures worldwide. These dynamic cross-cultural exchanges enable a more in-depth cultural awareness and encourage the development of lasting international friendships.
