World Cup at PROLOG

Fussball kuckenDuring the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, it wasn’t just the world’s top footballing nations competing – IH Berlin PROLOG’s students also had the chance to prove their skills and win some amazing prizes!

From June 11 all the way through to the final on July 11, our students took part in IH Berlin’s very own World Cup sweepstakes, giving their predictions for the results of each of the games and collecting points for correct forecasts. At the end of each week, all of the points were added up and a weekly winner received a limited edition copy of •Hendrik Dorgathen’s graphic novel “Slow”. PROLOG aficionados will of course know that Hendrik Dorgathen designed our school’s famous logo!

WinnerOnce the football festivities had drawn to a close, with Spain crowned worthy world champions, we totalled up everyone’s scores over the entire competition and are now pleased to announce our three overall winners. In third place, winner of a €100 voucher for a language course is Hernan R. In second place, winner of a one week STANDARD course is Bruce N. And (drumroll, please!) in first place, winner of one week’s STANDARD tuition, plus one week’s accommodation, is our master football tipster Ana M.

Congratulations to all of our weekly winners and to our top three overall winners. The football was (mostly) great and only matched by IH Berlin PROLOG’s own sweepstake competition! Roll on Brazil 2014!
